Who is Lucas to me?
Lucas is so true to the genre that he doesn’t need to wear fancy clothes to stand out. His simple, grassroots look and sound is his main hooked as a legitimate Hip-Hop and R&B star. He is all about keeping it real.
What do I have in common with Lucas?
I like keeping it simple and real as an artist whenever I can, like Lucas. In the beginning of my musical career, I did like to explore more complicated melodies, harmonies and so forth. As I grew into my own as a songwriter, I started thinking more about how I wanted people to feel listening to a song, rather than how I wanted the song to sound to their ears. When I started doing that, I felt like I really found myself as a legitimate songwriter, one who could connect the people on a real level.
Who is Liliane to me?
Liliane is the rock rookie. She doesn’t have complete control of her talents yet, but she does know that there was an X factor that got her to the main stage in the first place — her image. That’s not to say she doesn’t have talent because you have to have at least some to make it to this level. Just saying that she knows she’s unique she’s using that to her advantage to move forward in the industry.
What do I have in common with Liliane?
I think we’ve all been in the place of Liliana one time or another in our lives. The new person. The rookie. Maybe, like her, the person that people are looking at and saying that you don’t deserve to be there, whatever the reason may be. However, I think we all have to remember that if you want to be somewhere, if you have a passion for what you’re doing, you will always deserve a place in that setting. And it’s okay to have that special X factor to help get you there. All of us have an X factor or ace up our sleeve of one type or another — we just have to find it and use it to our advantage. The real key is, after getting your foot in the door as the rookie or getting that initial attention, can you capitalize on that and show your true talents and your true self to prove that you’re the real deal.
Who is Leah to me?
Leah is that super chill, down-to-earth artist that is on the rise. Fame has not hit her yet. She still dresses like a normal person. However, it’s clear that she has the talent to make it to the top. Right now she’s flying under the radar. But that’s okay. If she stays grounded she will always remain that humble person, no matter where her talent takes her.
What do I have in common with Leah?
As an artist, I’ve always felt like I flown under the radar. All good. I enjoy being a songwriter rather than a lead man. I enjoy letting others shine. However, I do feel that if I decided to hone my talent as a songwriter, I could have a chance to have my songs heard on a wider scale. If I ever decided to do that, I do hope that I would stay as humble an artist as I imagine Leah to be. Yeah. I think that would be the case, because I’m already too old for the rock star life.
Who is Koa to me?
Koa is a young star in the making. She’s not only a standout in music, but in sports as well! Her athletic ability makes her a great dancer. Perhaps one day she’ll be the triple threat — singer, dancer and actor. Who knows. However, her being just a teenager, there’s still a lot of room for her to grow.
What do I have in common with Koa?
In reality, Koa was named after one of the younger playtesters of Upstaged. She has a real competitive spirit and is a great athlete as well. Really, I have no idea if she dances, sings, or acts. Maybe she’ll tell me one day. If so, then that might be something we have in common. I’m still a singer. And during my early singing days I did have to dance while performing. Somehow, I even got roped into acting once in awhile for small shows. I don’t really know how any of this happened since I do have stage fright. Haha.
Who is Juan to me?
To me, Juan is a throwback to yesteryear. Maybe it’s the vest. Maybe it’s the hair. Maybe it’s the way that he’s holding the microphone. Either way, he exudes class and style. Though he concentrates on his image a lot, you could also tell that he has a lot of talent. He’s one of those artists that’s the complete package.
What do I have in common with Juan?
Honestly, I feel like I’m a throwback to yesteryear. I love the 90s. And the vest in his hair remind me of how I used to roll in the late 90s. Except I couldn’t pull off.the hair as well as he does. I also strive to be an individual that is a complete package as well. Someone who is trying to achieve balance in everything. I think I do a decent job of it. But unlike Juan, ultimately I may not be able to pull it off. These days, the way I look is not very important to me. I guess I’m just old like that. All good. Right now, I choose to balance who I am on the inside and strive to become the complete package as a husband, medical professional, artist, and of course, board game designer and publisher.
Who is Jayson to me?
To me, Jason is a crooner wrapped up in an emo body and outfit. He likes singing those love songs, but sometimes society deems that he has to disguise it as emo because that is what is popular at the moment. Kind of sucks for Jason, to be something he’s not in order to be who he really wants to be. But he makes it work.
What do I have in common with Jayson?
I feel a little bit like Jason sometimes. Maybe we all do. For those of us that have to put on a uniform or have a certain dress code for work, maybe you feel me on this. For example, there was one job where I had to shave completely in order to be “presentable.” Personally, I think I look like a little kid when I shave completely, and look way more distinguished and can be taken seriously more with my salt and pepper beard. But I got used to it. Them’s the rules. There was another job where I had to wear a tie and coat. However, I’ll admit, I sweat like no one else’s business when I’m wearing a tie. I decided not to wear tie for that job. I did get some slack for it. But it’s better than always sweating around the people that I’m trying to help and not being able to concentrate on my job. Maybe society will catch up someday — let you look the way you look and accept you for who you are, not what you look like, so you can do your job, or whatever you were meant to do, properly. Maybe.
Who is Hayden to me?
Hayden is that wild child from the 80’s that’s not afraid to rock the really long Jheri Curl, even to this day. Some would say that Hayden is extremely out of place. I beg to differ. I think that Hayden is so unique that they can fit in with any group, any time, any situation, and make everything better. Never, never ever, never ever ever ever underestimate the power of Hayden!
What do I have in common with Hayden?
Man. So much. Though I didn’t use the actual Jheri Curl activator, when I used to use hair spray and gel on my hair when I was young, it would get that curly. I miss that curl. So springy! Also, some would say that I don’t fit in anywhere. By “some,” I probably mean, “I.” Haha. But that’s okay. I feel that anywhere I have managed to land and create a place for myself, I have been able to make people’s lives better. Or at least make them smile once in a while. Never underestimate the power of Myke!
Who is Harmony to me?
Harmony is sporty, and her love of sports has also made her the ideal teammate. She’s able to compliment anyone and help them to shine to their fullest potential. However, that does not mean that Harmony can’t have the limelight to herself. Harmony is the epitome of talent, and when required to take over the show, she does so with full confidence in her abilities.
What do I have in common with Harmony?
I like to think that I am a powerful force that is able to help others excel in what they do. Someone who is able to compliment other people’s strengths so that we can succeed in ways that are greater than the sum of our parts. However, I also hope that, like Harmony, when required to take the lead, I’m able to rise to the occasion and carry my load, and even the load of others when necessary. You know, be a great teammate and an able leader at the same time. At least, that’s what I strive to have in common with Harmony.
Who is Jaycee to me?
Jaycee is a superstar! He welcomes his fans with open arms, with a true heart and true intentions that no other can match. He focuses on what his talent can do for the lives of others. As a result, people look up to him as an example of what it means to live a life not only as the ideal artist, but as a loving, accepting, caring being.
What do I have in common with Jaycee?
I hope I have more in common with Jaycee than I even know. I’d like to think I have a caring, welcoming heart. I’d like to think I can use my gifts to spread joy and promote shared experiences. Overall, while I know that pretty much none of us can truly live up to the example that Jaycee may set, it never hurts to give it a wholehearted try. That’s all that someone like Jaycee would want us to do, right?
Who is Jake to me?
To me, Jake is such a Rock rebel that he refuses to dress like the typical Rocker in any way. It’s hard to even categorize Jake and his style, which suits him just fine. After all, he’s focused more on his craft than his image.
What do I have in common with Jake?
I feel for Jake. While I’m not really much of a rebel, I feel people have tried to categorize me, and a lot of times they miss the mark completely. Which, in the end, is okay by me these days since I too am focused more on my creative crafts than my image. My style of dress to this day is off from the popular norm. Some of that is due to my size, some of that is due to the fact that I prioritize comfort over looks. Perhaps comfort is the priority of Jake as well, as we see him wearing his tie loosely. Then again, if he prioritizes comfort, why wear a tie? Is this like meta rebel stuff? Am I using “meta” right?
